Philadelphia Chapter Newsletter

A NOTE FROM OUR CHAIR
Greetings!

Hope you are all “hanging in” as we get through one of the snowiest winters on record. Then again, I’ve had members tell me they like the snow so – each to her own! There are a few things I want to share with you.

HOW TO KEEP THE LOVE ALIVE
How do you keep your Peer Group going strong during the pandemic? Read how one group keeps the love alive!

WHY I LIKE BELONGING TO SIGS
SIGs, by definition, bring together women who have similar interests. In this time of great division, it is helpful to know that we are not all that different from each other. SIGs are a fabulous way to get to know people who we might otherwise not know.

SINCE YOU ASKED...
Please submit any questions you would like included in this column! We know that many of you have questions about both our Chapter and National which you have wanted to ask. Please submit your questions to Alice Milrod or any member of the Steering Committee.

PHILADELPHIA GIVING CIRCLE GRANT PROCESS UNDERWAY
2021 has already been unprecedented for the Philadelphia Giving Circle- unprecedented growth in members and dollars received, giving two grants this year, each in the amount of $25,000 and broadening our grants to include operating needs of the organization rather than tied to a specific project.

PHL CHAPTER-WIDE MINGLE ON MARCH 11TH!
Bring your favorite beverage and appetizer and join us for this social and fun Member Mingle event!

MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR TWO VERY SPECIAL EVENTS!
There are two incredible events you won't want to miss! On April 5th “Successfully Transforming Women’s Lives After Incarceration, a Conversation with Reverend Dr. Michelle Simmons” and on June 9th an inspiring conversation with the charismatic social activist Sister Mary Scullion.

MEET THE MEMBERS OF NEW COMMITTEE- ANALYSIS AND SOLUTIONS
Marion Blow and Robin Eisenberg are part of the Analysis & Solutions Committee which was recently formed to provide Chapter leadership with support and assistance in streamlining the processes and procedures necessary to provide all the wonderful resources our members have come to expect.

PROGRAMS TO LOOK FORWARD TO
By the end of March, the Programs Committee will have delivered 8 programs in 2021 touching almost 400 participants from Philadelphia and across the chapters. Learn about what's to come!
