Dear Members, Partners & Friends of FACCNE,
We hope you are all healthy and safe, as we are reaching one year with Covid19 this month. Despite the uncertainty that has loomed over us for the past year, FACCNE has remained committed to our network. We have many upcoming events to share with you in March!

February was a short, but busy month with an exceptional edition of our DE&I Series on Racial Equity, featuring 2 Chief Diversity Officers from Fortune500 companies, Delta Airlines and UPS and reaching more than 220 registrants from the US and France. We also re-launched the "Let's Chat!" interview series, starting with Manon Debuire (Powerling) , Pascal Descargues (Genoskin) and Daniela Mayer (Fragomen). You can visit our website to watch the short interviews on YouTube! Stay tuned for more Member interviews and reach out to our Communications Coordinator Marietta LaBarbera if you'd like to save your spot and be one of our next interviewees.

The "Leaders Series #3" event on March 4th featuring Patrick Tricoli, CEO of Nanobiotix USA in a discussion moderated by Frederic Chereau, President & CEO of LogicBio Therapeutics was also a success with close to 140 registrants. Globally, since the beginning of the year, FACCNE's events gathered more than 700 participants in 2 months. A record!

Still looking into Life Sciences, on March 24th at 12pm EST, we will be hosting "Fundamentals of Decentralized Clinical Trials., an insightful webinar led by FACCNE newly elected Board Member, Alain Eudaric, President of Idea Pathways, LLC.

As we are delighted to welcome Scott Bostley, Managing Partner at Benefit Strategy, and Clifford Watkin, Founder & Chief People Officer at Circle Strategies, as new Co-Chairs of the HR Forum, we would like to address our special thanks to Jacques Goldenberg, Global HR business partner, R&D and Digital at Sanofi Pasteur for leading the HR Forum since 2018. Stay tuned for the upcoming public events of the HR Forum.

Finally, FACCNE is hiring a part-time Project Coordinator starting asap or in April 2021. Detail-oriented, able to multi-task, fluent in English and French, U.S. work permit required & Boston area based. Please spread the word or Apply Now: See full job description

A few takeaways from our DE&I Event #2 on Racial Equity on Feb. 23rd, as summarized by our moderator: even though there's no single answer to approach and tackle this racial question in the workplace, it's important to
  • Revamp and reimagine
  • Listen and engage your employees
  • Lead with empathy
  • Run the "blood work" instead of just using the "multivitamins approach"
  • Leverage training but it's not the only solution
At the end of the day, "it's a learning journey that's holistic!"
Stay in touch for updates on our D&I Series event #3!

"I am more enthusiastic than ever to continue to support the mission of FACCNE through my service as Vice-President and as a member of the Board of Directors. FACCNE remains the premier organization in New England for creating and developing deep relationships within the French-American business community, and the connections I have made at FACCNE over the past decade have been essential in developing and growing my legal practice representing France-based companies doing business in New England and throughout the United States. During my new term as Vice-President, I hope to focus on increasing participation of U.S.-based entrepreneurs and companies in our organization to achieve even greater “cross-pollination” between the New England and French innovation ecosystems and the incredible pools of scientific, engineering and entrepreneurial talent that they offer."
