Q&A With Julia Gonnello
by Kaja Andric
Visual arts senior and Dreyfoos’ National Art Honor Society President Julia Gonello––whose fierce and striking artwork is one of ninety-three selected from over a thousand entries––has been honored among a select group of artists in the National Art Honor Society Juried Exhibition.

"There’s...this huge influence, I think we Dreyfoos students in particular and in the art department, of other peoples’ work. I think it’s incredible...", says Gonello.

Q&A With Dena Lyons
by Sophia Roud
Since graduating, class of 1998 visual arts alumna Dena Lyons used her love of painting to create her own accessory line, donning custom designs for anything from masks (including our SOAFI logoed art masks) to scarves to pillows.

“It was because of the Dreyfoos school that I felt confident in pursuing my artwork. It was Dreyfoos that lead me to the exhibition whereby I was awarded a scholarship to study in France,” says Lyons.

Kris Lidinsky: Committed to Dreyfoos
by Kaja Andric and Sophia Roud
Kris Lidinsky has been Executive Director of the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation (SOAFI) since 2015 after a year and a half hiatus following over eight years as the Foundation’s Director of Development.

“Dreyfoos just ends up as such a success story. And all the students do so well. But I truly believe a good piece of that happens due to all the extra benefits the Foundation's able to provide to the students,” says Lidinsky.

2021 SOAFI Summer Institute & College Scholarship Applications are now LIVE! All applications will be completed online through Google Forms. Links to applications are available here. Application deadline is Friday, 3/26 at 4 PM.
