Welcome to the March NEWS! This issue is dedicated to the 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting and is filled with lots of important information to make your experience at the meeting informative and fun.

This is the second virtual FAWCO Annual Meeting. A lot has been learned about online venues and FAWCO and The Foundation have been working busily behind the scenes.

• Presidents and FAWCO Reps ONLY - Be aware the Development Grant Ballot will be posted on the FAWCO Foundation website soon. Announcements will be made in FAWCO's News In Brief and on the private Foundation and FAWCO Facebook groups.

The FAWCO Foundation is YOUR Foundation. Please don't hesitate to contact anyone on the Board if you have ideas, recommendations or questions. We love to hear from you!

2021 Virtual Foundation Night
A FAWCO Annual Meeting would not be complete without Foundation Night; it's our most critical fundraiser of the year. All FAWCO members can attend!
When? Saturday, March 20!

Foundation Night will prove to be stellar in both its concept and implementation. We promise lively entertainment as well as both Silent and Live Auctions to equal any we have had in person. Do join us for a fun evening!

EVERYONE who wants to participate should register for the Annual General Meeting.

We are all still in this together...
And together we will continue to impact the world in a phenomenal way!
"How can I participate in the Virtual Silent Auction?"

The Foundation has the perfect solution: OneCause (formally BidPal) - a powerful platform that allows us to fundraise with our popular silent auction via online bidding. FAUSA had great success with OneCause last fall during its Annual Getaway. Registration for the Silent Auction opens March 1, 2021 and will run the entire week of March 13-20. This gives you plenty of time to preview items and virtual experiences and bid at your leisure.


"And what about the Live Auction?"

The live auction will take place Saturday evening, March 20 on zoom. Robin Goldsby, an American pianist, composer and memoirist, will be performing a special program at Foundation Night preceding the live auction.

Unique items including a one week stay at Kauai Beach Resort, a Belgian Coast Home-Perfect for Family Vacay, and an exclusive look at the private Atlanta offices of Former President Jimmy Carter and Rosalynn Carter can be yours for the right bid!

2021 FAWCO Friendship Quilt
Raffle Tickets are now available for the 2021 Friendship Quilt, "Common Threads." Take your chance...or many chances...to become the owner of this fabulous quilt designed and quilted by Roberta Z. and sewn by over 30 talented quilt square donors. Ticket purchase via jotform.

Quilt tickets will also be available via the silent auction.

The winning ticket will be drawn during the 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting, March 18-22.
Virtual Annual Meeting Charm
Here is a unique take on our Virtual Annual Meeting! Where in The World is Foundation Night? is represented by a question mark; the question mark also epitomizes the overwhelming feeling of all of us during these trying COVID-19 times!

Foundation Night charms can also be purchased via OneCause and are available March 13 after 6:01am CET. $25 each. Two or more $20 each. Combo package: Both charms for $40.
Target Charm and Club Donor Wall
The charm represents the current Target project S.A.F.E. (Safe Alternatives for FGM Elimination) and are part of the Foundation's efforts to fundraise towards the goal of $140,000. We are over halfway there at $87,000!

Target charms can be purchased via OneCause and will be available March 13 after 6:01am CET. $25 each. Two or more $20 each. Combo package: Both charms for $40.
The Donor Wall proudly displays club accomplishments in supporting the FAWCO Health Target Project S.A.F.E. (Safe Alternatives for FGM Elimination), whose goal is to protect girls from FGM and to foster positive social change within FGM-practicing communities in the Mara Region of Tanzania.
2021 Foundation Benefactors
We can all be Benefactors!
As with all the Foundation's efforts in 2020 and 2021, the longstanding Foundation Benefactor program has gone virtual. We want to recognize all those who make a donation via the OneCause “Donate” tab in the Silent Auction as Foundation Benefactors. Register for and visit the Silent Auction and DONATE for as little as $20! It's as simple as that! The "Donate" tab will go live on March 1 at 6:01am CET. Benefactors will be listed with first name and last initial on the Foundation website.
