CONGRATULATIONS TO:
PACK 25, SHELT0N - Members of Pack 25 submitted videos talking about what Scouting means to them. Click on the Cub Scout Logo to view the video.

Pack 25's Arrow of Light Webelos donated items and made care packages for the homeless. Each bag contained socks, gloves, handwarmers, hand sanitizer, disposable masks, tissues, water and snacks. GREAT JOB!” Advancement continues for Webelos Den 3 who learned to safely build and light a fire.

PACK 65 SEYMOUR/OXFORD - The youth of Pack 65 had some fun in the snow and 8 young tigers won against 4 big bears in a tug of war. At the end of the day all the youth participated in sled pulls.

TROOP 55, SHELTON - The Housatonic Council created a Mystery Hike for our units to participate in. The first unit to share their photos of participation was Troop 55 who held their meeting at the hike. Unfortunately, they did not get the answer correct.

Troop 55 held a flag retirement ceremony, and held a snow sculpting event at the Ansonia Nature Center. The Troop opened with the Pledge of allegiance, scout oath and scout law. Webelos joined them and all stayed warm with a fire, hot coca and pizza. Scouts used butter knives, spoons and forks to make their creations.  Ken McGovern, Scoutmaster shared, "I'm amazed at the creativity of our scouts."
THIS TIME A SCOUT WAS SMARTER THAN A SCOUTMASTER...

Friday, February 19, 2021 was the first Housatonic Council Game Night through Kahoot!. Points were awarded for answering correctly and quickly. Eleven youth and adults participated in a fun night of Scouting trivia.

One of the youth took the early lead, and looked like they would win the night from start to finish. As the game continued an adult leader took the lead with our first place youth stumbling on certain questions. Then with about one-third of the questions left the winning youth member ripped off a string of correct answers and speedy replies and took over the leader's position and never looked back.

Here is the leaderboard.
