MARCH 9 MEETING
In Person and on Zoom
Mackle Park Center
Marco Island, FL 6 P.M.
Marc Simon
Let's talk about Rejection
[How to deal with it and overcome!]
Most, if not every writer goes through the submission/rejection process. Rejection can be discouraging. I will chronicle the process that brought three of my novels to publication, showing examples of personal rejection letters. Next, we explore the broader topic of how to deal with rejection & to overcome. Last, I will talk about the Kindle Vella model and why I chose it for my novel The Hanged Man.
Author Marc Simon began his literary career at an early age, first published when he was eight. According to the editor, Marc's Swords of the Seven Seas "was the best sea-going swill they had on that night.”

The Stylist
Melody Highman
"Gazing out at the November drizzle, I swipe a thumb over my tongue and rub a smudge from the window. The frenzied squeaking stops once I catch a glimpse of Vivian, my next client. She ducks her head against The Channel's charging winds as she jostles along, ever mindful of the wet cobble underfoot. "
