The Foundation is happy to be hosting a series of site visits (virtual and in-person) where we have an excellent opportunity to talk with our grantees from across the state, providing vital civil legal services to low-income Hoosiers. These services include family law, housing stability, guardianships, veteran services, and elder law issues. The dialogue offers an opportunity to identify emerging trends and legal needs that will help us prioritize future grants and funding. Site visits also allow the Foundation to collect data from grantees and work cooperatively to strategize ways to implement the $13.1 million Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority (IHCDA) housing stability legal services contract awarded to the Foundation in December. These check-ins with grantees also enable us to provide additional accountability and information to the many funders who support this work, including the Indiana General Assembly, the Indiana Supreme Court, and the Indiana Bar Foundation donors and supporters. We are extremely fortunate to have a strong network of partner organizations with dedicated legal professionals providing civil legal assistance to so many Hoosiers in need.
