FRIENDS FAMILY FUN PROGRAMS
GET THEIR OWN NAMES
The Name Family Fun was coined in the 1980’s to describe programming for children, ages two to eight, and their caregivers. Originally, the program was run during the months of July and August. Over the years, the name has been used by Friends and the Center, to attract all members of a family to a program. Most recently the name has been applied to the programs run October through March for pre-school children.

Naturally, with so many programs named Family Fun, some confusion has arisen.

Henceforth, the Friends of Five Rivers Program will now be called:

  • SUMMER NATURE WEEKS (formerly Summer Family Fun)
  • BEAUTIFUL DAY TOGETHER (formerly Family Fun)
