Consumer Watchdog Fires Warning Shot to Lenders Over Abusive Auto Repos as Used-Car Prices Soar
The CFPB warns lenders and loan servicers to not illegally repossess cars for resale in this hot used-car market. Prices for used-cars and trucks have increased 40.5% in January from one year ago and the consumer protection bureau is already facing "examples of conduct" including unfair, deceptive, or abusive practices.

Soaring Lumber Prices Adds Nearly $19,000 to the Cost of a New Home
Lumber prices began climbing again in December after falling from their record high last May. They are 22% lower than their peak but still three times their average pre-pandemic price. The recent price jump adds nearly $19,000 to the price of a newly built home. The rising cost also affects building new multifamily homes, raising the cost to rent a new apartment.

  4. Submit your bracket after the official release at 8pm ET on Sunday, March 13th, and before tip-off time (TBD) currently scheduled for Thursday, March 17th. Brackets cannot be submitted or edited once the first game in the first round begins on March 17th.
