Business News From The City of Frederick, Maryland
March 2023

Hello
March madness has descended upon us as college hoops action has teams across the country competing in the big dance. So far there are a lot of Cinderella stories and my brackets are blown for sure. On the bright side, the #2 Ranked Maryland Women’s team made it all the way to the Final Four after dominating early competition – truly inspiring play. Off the basketball courts, March is Women’s History month which gives us the chance to recognize some incredible Frederick businesswomen who share their experience and advice in this issue of Business eNews. Earlier this month, the Frederick Chamber opened its own “draft process” for the Annual She Pitch competition which selects women entrepreneurs to pitch and score cash prizes, publicity, and access to resources. Tune in. Frederick is on the court and playing to win.
Best,
