Kettering Team Advances to Top 50 in National Entrepreneurship Competition
A team of Kettering University students trying to help people get a better night's sleep is one step closer to making it happen. Cory Mazure ('22, ME), Trever Arcieri ('24, CE) and alumnus Mason Campbell ('21, IE) are among the top 50 teams in the 12th annual New Venture Competition, a business plan and elevator pitch competition showcasing student-created, -managed and -led ventures.

Their venture is called Refreshed, a software that collects brainwave data to determine an optimal range for sleep and helps maintain it. To read more about Refreshed, click here.

Alumni Volunteer Spotlight
Alumnus Dillon Frost '17 (above left) continues to make an impact at Kettering University by engaging students and helping the community. He has put in a lot of time and volunteered for Community Service Saturday during freshman orientation week; stood with the Salvation Army Red Kettle at the Flint Farmer’s Market; helped package food with United Way of Genesee County on MLK Day; and assisted with the Consumers Energy and Kettering University Michigan VEX Robotics State Championship.

We caught up with Dillion following VEX to ask why volunteering is important.

“I volunteer because the most valuable thing that anyone can do for others is give their time," he said. "I think that attending Kettering played a pivotal part in how I’ve found success in my career which leads me to value my time very highly and empowers me to want to pay it forward for good causes.”
Celebrate Women's History Month with Us on Social Media
Join us on Instagram during March to celebrate Women's History Month. We will feature notable alumni throughout the month with brief profiles and inspiring advice for Kettering students.

Our first featured alumna is Maddie Wright '22. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and works as an IT Business Analyst at RealTruck, an Ann Arbor-based off-road parts and accessory company for trucks and Jeeps.

To find out more about Maddie and her advice to students, follow our Instagram here or our NEW Facebook here.
Women Helping Women
It started as a simple idea, how can we give back and help young women in STEM? It was something that resonated with others, so along with the help of 1987 alumna Sandy Dietrich's friends and family, the Women Helping Women Scholarship Endowment was born. The idea spread so quickly that the first scholarship was awarded eight months later.

There's more to Women Helping Women than the scholarship endowment. There's also a mentor program. The Kettering Alumni Engagement Office is helping launch a student/alumna mentorship program this month. To read more about the scholarship and program, click here.
