Together Again!

Last week, finally after the COVID years, approximately 80 meeting planners and 80 industry hoteliers and AV suppliers got together, in person and mask free. It was a very joyous reunion to see those hardy planners who have been able to ride the meeting industry decline. Of course, there were many who were not in attendance due to layoffs. Proudly I and two of MCI’s account mangers attended. The connection to our industry is so important to our success. During this four hour program, we learned new techniques that planners used to keep alive. Zoom was still talked about in great length and although we were tired of all virtual meetings, we know that Zoom is here to stay and an excellent format for many interactions. Meeting Planners are problem solvers. Like “Ghostbusters,” when a problem or situation arises, meeting planners are supposed to know who to call and how to fix the issue. Our network is the key. Glad to know we are working together again!
