March Asset of the Month: Creative Activities

“Children need the freedom and time to play. Play is not a luxury. Play is a necessity.” -Kay Redfield Jamison

What You Can Do

• Take a child to an art museum or a concert.

• Support music and art programs for kids.

• Help your children identify their creative sparks! Expose them to a variety of creative activities, and find follow-up lessons when they find something they’re interested in.

Composting is Now the Law!

Please remember to place yard waste, food scraps and food-soiled paper towels and napkins in your green organics cart. Composting this material instead of sending it to the landfill helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and is used to create nutrient-rich compost.

Call 408-842-3358 to speak with a Waste Zero Specialist about Recology’s programs and for support including staff trainings, educational materials and free food scrap recycling containers.
