Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration


Wednesday, March 1 at 4 p.m.


Join us for Book Cover Bingo at 4 p.m. and other fun activities throughout the afternoon as we celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday.

Art Journaling


Join us on Friday, March 3 from 5-7 p.m. to learn about this creative form of expression. Supplies will be provided - bring your imagination. We meet on the 1st Friday of every month.

Paint Party with Faith Satterfield


Saturday, March 11

from 10-12


Local artist, Faith Satterfield, will provide supplies and instructions to create a lovely spring-themed painting. This program is open to ages 13 through adult, but you must REGISTER as space is limited. Contact the library to reserve your seat.

Family Game Night

Green-themed Fun


Join us on Friday, March 17 from 5-6 p.m. for some St. Patrick's Day green-themed activities. Bring your family and friends and have some fun at the library!

& Scotland Book Club

Join us on Tuesday, March 21 at 7 p.m. at Scotland Public Library. This month we are reading and discussing Trust by Hernan Diaz.


Stop by the library for a copy of the book and make plans to join us for the discussion.

Story Time


Every Thursday at 10 a.m., Miss Jenn will have stories, crafts, and more. Please Note: If Scotland Elementary School is closed due to snow, there will be no Story Time that day.

Needlecraft Group


Do you crochet, knit, or quilt? We are meeting with other crafters on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. Stop by with your latest project. All abilities are welcome.

Seed Library


It's not too early to plan your garden. We have a Seed Library to help you get your 2023 growing season underway. Stop by to pickup flower, herb, and vegetable seeds. New packets will be added as they arrive.

Help your child prepare for school by reading to them everyday. Join the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at the library.

It's easy:

  • stop by the library to pick up your packet.
  • keep a journal of all the books you share with your child
  • bring in your reading log for a prize to mark each milestone.
