"All-In Sacramento": A Collaborative Initiative to Solve Sacramento’s Homeless Crisis" will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 8:30AM-2PM at Sacramento State’s Harper Alumni Center. It will include a series of presentations and interactive discussions about:

• Sacramento’s Local Homeless Action Plan
• The Plan’s 6 Leading Strategies
• Collective Action and Implementation Approach
• Who’s involved and how we track and report results
• How organizations can align objectives with the LHAP and help deliver outcomes together

The annual CoC Board recruitment for new members showed the great interest our community has in the work we do. With 100+ CoC Board applications received, we are excited to announce the appointment of seven new CoC Board members. Please welcome our new CoC Board!

The Sacramento Homeless Policy Council (SHPC) was launched in 2021 to promote regional collaboration to end homelessness. The SHPC includes elected officials from the County and cities, as well as the SSF and CoC chair. Check our website for materials from the first meeting of 2023.

Sacramento Steps Forward (SSF) is requesting proposals from qualified agencies such as researchers, research organizations, public or private colleges or universities, and not‐for‐profit or for‐profit agencies to provide support for the 2024 Point-In-Time (PIT) Count. Applications are due Tuesday, April 25 by 5PM. For more information, please review the RFP and direct any questions or submissions to RFP@sacstepsforward.org.

Sacramento Steps Forward (SSF) is requesting proposals from qualified consultants and agencies to support the Sacramento City and County Continuum of Care (CoC) in preparing and submitting the annual CoC Consolidated Application to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The selected consultant will work closely with the CoC Board and its Project Review Committee to develop all materials for the annual Notice of Funding competition, as well as to establish and facilitate year-round processes for system and project performance review. Applications are due Tuesday, April 25th by 5PM. Please review the RFP and email questions to RFP@sacstepsforward.org.

The 2-1-1 housing crisis line operates from 7:30AM-5PM, triaging households to resources that include referrals to 7 shelters, 4 problem solving access points (PSAPs) and the Coordinated Access Navigation (CAN) team. See our CAS Public Resources for reports on the connections facilitated, shelter referrals completed, financial assistance provided, and more.

Sacramento Steps Forward makes referrals based on predetermined eligibility and prioritization to the housing authority for emergency housing vouchers (EHVs) and subsequent enrollment. SSF monitors and updates the EHV dashboard on the last day of the month to demonstrate metrics on households. See how many households have been assessed, enrolled, and exited to permanent housing.

Outreach events are still being held across Sacramento County to offer various resources including COVID-19 vaccination and testing clinics to people eligible for their primary vaccines or boosters.

Sacramento County Public Health and SSF will host a walkup clinic paired with diaper distributions on Wednesday, March 29 from 11AM-1PM at North Sacramento Family Resource Center located at 2469 Rio Linda Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95815. Please help share the word and see other events closest to you.

In the last five years, the Sacramento and Yolo Continuums of Care have vastly grown. Our HMIS has seen a 61% increase in the number of participating community agencies. Our agencies are offering the community over 45% more programs to individuals facing homelessness. Most importantly, our number of HMIS users has more than doubled.
