Change of Mailing Address


To receive property tax correspondence, it is important to ensure that your address is correct.  


Wheatland County sources property ownership and mailing address information from Alberta Land Titles and the certificate of title. It is the property owners’ responsibility to ensure their land title record is accurate and up to date.


To update your address, please complete a Change of Address Form and mail the original signed copy to Alberta Land Titles.

Volunteer Firefighters Recruitment

Wheatland County Fire Services is recruiting volunteer firefighters!


Minimum Requirements:

  • 18 years of age
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta drivers’ licence
  • No criminal record
  • Good physical health

Spring is here! Be sure to check for signs of water leaks, both indoors and outdoors, while you launch into Spring cleaning mode.


Why?


Water expands when it freezes. This means that areas holding water might be forced to expand beyond size limits; therefore, causing cracks and leaks.

2023 Dust Control


2023 Dust Control Applications will become available on April 19, 2023.

 

Dust control is offered by Wheatland County for landowners or residents within the county who wish to reduce the amount of dust created by vehicles traveling on gravel roads near their homes, businesses, or farms.

SWCC Benefit Plans

Building a road approach or upgrading your driveway? Wheatland County residents are able to purchase crushed gravel and pitrun at a reduced cost.


Residents are able to redeem gravel tickets between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the set days and locations as outlined below:


  • June 14th and 15th, 2023 – Goldsmith Pit (Cluny)
  • July 5th and 6th, 2023 – Christensen Pit (Carseland)
  • August 9th and 10th, 2023 – Fish Lake Pit (Dalum) )

The Shelterbelt and Ecobuffer Seedling Program is available to support landowners planting trees and shrubs throughout the county and opens yearly on November 1st. 


Applicants can qualify to receive up to $2000 in funding!

HWY 564

Alberta Transportation will be completing a bridge replacement on HWY 564, 2.5 miles east of HWY 21, from April 5th - June 30th. An onsite detour and reduced speed zone will be in effect for the duration of the project.
