EverWild Forest School is excited to help parents and caregivers introduce the beauty and wonder of our natural world to little ones with their new Wild Winter series! This program focuses on experimenting with natural materials and stimuli to help develop fine and gross motor skills, curiosity, and cause-and-effect and is aimed for children ages 2-6 years old. The classes will take place outside (weather permitting) so please dress accordingly! You are invited to bring a blanket or two for an extra cozy outdoor experience! Each class is limited to 15 children. Registration is required.

March 1-25, 2nd Floor Info Desk

Nampa Public Library will be giving away “Take care of our teachers” swag bags at the Destination Wellness fair on Saturday, April 8 from 10am-2pm. You can show how much you appreciate our teachers by donating new items to add to the bags between March 1-25 at the 2nd floor info desk. Donations will be divided up into swag bags and given to the teachers only. Any new shelf stable items that would be useful or enjoyable to a teacher is welcome. Item suggestions: Pens, post-it notes, stress ball, reusable water bottles, candy, lip balm, bath salts, microwave popcorn, art supplies, gift cards, USB drives, etc.

Bookmobile Launch Party!

Please join us for the unveiling of Nampa's first bookmobile! The program begins at 3:30pm and will include speakers, live entertainment by ELRO from Idaho Arts Charter School, library swag, The Original Saucy Dog hot dog cart, and refreshments. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the bookmobile, which is a 24-foot-long Sprinter van equipped with modern technology and a wide selection of books, audiobooks, and other materials.


A special drawing will give five lucky school-age youth the chance to be some of the first to enter the new bookmobile at the Bookmobile Launch Party on March 15! Decorate your own bookmobile by picking up a coloring sheet and/or foldable bookmobile at the 1st Floor Info Desk or printing one off at nampalibrary.org/mybookmobile. Submit your completed bookmobile at the 1st Floor Info Desk by Saturday, March 11. The winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries and will be notified on Monday, March 13. All ages are welcome to participate, but the drawing will only be for school-aged youth, ages 4-17.

Destination Wellness 2023 offers FREE health and wellness education and resources featuring exhibitors from the local area. You can learn about resources for seniors, health insurance, Medicaid, preventing drug use and suicide, proper medication disposal and more. You can participate in a relaxation watercolor program by Lane’s Art Supply, Mommy and Me Yoga by 2C yoga, and get health screenings for high blood pressure and diabetes from Terry Reilly Health Services. We will be giving away reusable water bottles, “Take care of our teachers” swag bags and you can enter to win an essential oil diffuser and resistance bands.
