Spring Forward into Fitness
|
|
With warmer weather on the way and the promise of more outdoor recreation, now is not only the time to set your clocks ahead. As you re-set your watch, re-set your health by getting and staying in shape with upcoming SAS fitness classes. New sessions of in-person and online courses begin the week of March 19, 2023.
Jeannine Palermo's popular Fit Blast: Cardio, Strength and Abs (Course 11751) on Mondays and Total Body Workout with Bands (Course 11756) offer an in-person and an online way to get your heart pumping. New sessions of Palermo's Body Sculpting (Thursday mornings in-person: Course 11754, Thursday afternoons online: Course 11755) and the chair-based version, Sit and Be Fit: Chair-Based Body Sculpting (Tuesday afternoons: Course 11752, Thursday mornings: Course 11753) involve exercises that safely increase muscular strength and endurance and will improve flexibility, range of motion, and body tone.

New in-person and online sessions of Movement to Music with Penny Bowman and Judy Schwartzman (Tuesday mornings in-person: Course 11727, Tuesday mornings online: Course 11731, Thursday mornings online: Course 11733, Friday mornings in-person: Course 11729, Friday mornings online: Course 11735) are suitable for women of all ages and fitness levels. The highlight of this program is the live piano performance at each class featuring a mix of popular standards.
Fresh sessions of Walk15® with Heather Buyers are also starting again soon. Online class will meet on Monday mornings starting March 20, 2023 (Course 11846), and the in-person class begins on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 (Course 11847). Low impact moves are set to music for fun and easy to learn calorie-burning exercise.

Keep your toes tapping with Arleigh Rothenberg's Monday Tap Dance classes, tailored to suit your level (Beginner: Course 11893, Advanced Beginner: Course 11894, Intermediate: Course 11895).
Joey Zimet begins a new an eight-session series of Postural Therapy Movement (Course 11808) on Wednesday mornings. Learn techniques to improve posture and alleviate day-to-day aches and pains with standing, sitting, and floor exercises.

In-person Tuesday morning classes in Essential Yoga (Course 11779) as well as Gentle Yoga (Tuesday mornings in-person: Course 11781, Friday mornings online: Course 11783) with Louise Fecher also have new sessions beginning soon. Fecher will also introduce MELT Method® for Enhanced Stability and Mobility (Course 11807), an in-person Thursday morning class that uses specialized soft balls and rollers to reduce pain and tension brought on by everyday stresses and aging.
