Dear Pastoral Assistants of Faith Formation and catechists,
In this month we celebrate Holy Week beginning on Palm Sunday and concluding with the Lord's Resurrection Sunday. This is the most intense liturgical period of the year, and we have the opportunity to invite our families and children who participate in our programs to accompany Our Lord with prayer, the desire for conversion, in which we approach the Sacrament of reconciliation to die to sin and rise with Christ on Easter Sunday.
Let us then live this week proclaiming not only in the parish but in homes the entry of Christ into Jerusalem, deepening the mystery of service and grace in the commemoration of his Lord's Supper, accompanying him on the Way of the Cross, and associating our sorrows and anxieties with those of the Passion so that we may be redeemed and singing the joy of the assembly as we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus. revealing the God who "gives life and life abundantly." (John 10,10)
Let us open the doors of our hearts, of our lives and of our parishes so that the community may have a personal encounter with Jesus in his Paschal Mystery and let’s go out to meet others, to bring the light and joy of our faith to the peripheries. May God be the one who guides us and makes our actions fruitful in this month.
