A SPECIAL THANK YOU to JOHN & DC

December ended three two-year terms on the VEBF Board of Directors for DC Reed and John Chapman. Each gentleman served with distinction and did class-A work as President of the Board of Directors. DC exemplifies the statement that you don’t have to live in the Village to be involved or to contribute to the Appreciation Fund. Even after moving to Dallas, he continued his involvement! John, as many of you know, works at KVRE radio, but he always has and makes time for the work of VEBF. We will miss them, but know they remain committed and will help wherever and whenever asked. Thanks, John and DC… you’re the best!!

2024 APPRECIATION GIFTS

Just as a reminder to those who may have missed the information, the 2024 Appreciation Gifts to hourly employees were $400 to full-time employees and $200 to part-time employees. Employees were abundantly grateful. You can see the names of the wonderful Villagers who made this possible on the VEBF website.

WINTER WONDERLAND

Yes, Virginia, there are those of us who think snow is magical—snow people to be made, snow angels abounding, snowball fights (?)—and those of us who regret giving up our shovels. Piles of the white stuff and slick roads made for extra work for our road crews. But they were there for us… even late at night, plowing and helping to rescue stuck vehicles. THANK YOU, CREWS!

VEBF BOARD of DIRECTORS

Your VEBF Board meets monthly in a space donated to us by Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church. All Board members are on at least two committees, which is where the heavy lifting takes place. In addition to our two new board members, others who serve include Bill Luerssen, Lloyd Sherman, Donna Jared, Sue Luerssen, Ricky Middleton, Bill Butterworth, Bob Zellner, and me. If you ever have a question or want to share an idea, please feel free to contact us via our website (vebf.org). - Carol Freeland, VEBF Board President

ADVISORY RESOURCE COMMITTEE

The ARC was established several years ago as a way in which the Board of Directors could reach out and take in information from Village residents. Sometimes, we have an idea or a question for which we think Villager's input would be invaluable. When that happens, we email those on the ARC and await their responses. Very helpful! ARC members are asked at the end of each year if they would like to continue. MIGHT YOU BE INTERESTED? There’s nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer… so if you are interested in helping us in this manner, go on the website (vebf.org) and let us know.

THANK YOU CORPORATE SPONSORS

Hot Springs Village Employees Benefit Fund was established on September 22, 1999, to receive and disburse appreciation funds contributed by the property owners of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.

These funds are for the benefit and support of all qualified POA employees (excluding Top Management) as defined in the by-laws.

Our intent is to demonstrate the recognition, appreciation, and respect that our property owners and others have for all those who work to support and maintain Hot Springs Village.
