March 2024 Newsletter

To give aid and encouragement in promoting the education and welfare of at-risk children in the state of Georgia.

Hello Circle Members,

March is here and so is our BIGGEST fundraising event! I hope everyone plans on joining us at the Circle for Children’s Annual Fundraising Gala on March 16th at Dunwoody Country Club! It’s not too late to RSVP TODAY!

Given recent mail issues, we've extended the RSVP deadline to March 10th. For smoother processing, we encourage online payments going forward.

This year, we have an exciting lineup with Lori Wilson from WSB-TV as our emcee and Bruce Deel, CEO of City of Refuge, as our auctioneer. It's shaping up to be a truly memorable evening!

I want to take a moment to express my deep gratitude to our Gala chairs, Linda Keogler and Betts Fisher, our auction chair, Mary Beth Wegener, as well as all our table hosts and everyone else who has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this gala possible.

We are passionate about giving every child the chance to be just that - a child, free from the shadows of uncertainty and sheltered from trauma. While we can't help every child, we believe in making a difference where we can, easing burdens and paving pathways to brighter futures.

Please join us in making a meaningful impact in the lives of at-risk children by joining us at the Gala on March 16. Your presence and support mean the world to us!

Warm regards,

Kristin Gross Harbison

✨Time is Ticking Away!

Rally Your Network for Exclusive Auction Contributions!

The Gift of Time annual fundraising gala relies on the success of our Gala Auction, our most significant fundraiser of the year. We need each member to actively participate by contributing in various ways, such as donating a basket, collaborating with friends on a themed creation, securing high-value item donations, or contributing funds for auction purchases. Your involvement ensures the success of this vital event and supports our mission through the Circle for Children.

Click Here to sign up for a "9-5" Themed Auction Basket

Now is the time to inspire and connect with our network, urging them to contribute unique experiences to our event!

Experiences, travel, sports or music memorabilia, autographs or tickets and food experiences that allow winning bidders to try new restaurants or having private dining are always a hit with donors! Make this year's auction fun and exciting, all while raising funds to support our beneficiaries, City of Refuge and the Linda Gross Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Businesses and individuals who donate will be recognized night of our Gala, in our online auction listings, in our event program and on descriptions displayed with the auction items.

About Comedy On The Square

Join us for a night of uproarious laughter and side-splitting comedy at the Alley Stage's Comedy on the Square! Our talented comedians, handpicked for their wit and charisma, will take the stage to deliver an unforgettable evening of laughter and entertainment. Sit back, relax, and let the contagious laughter fill the room as our comedians bring their A-game to deliver a comedy experience like no other.

The venue has cabaret seating (seating around small tables) , which is why we want to get a headcount before booking. There is a two drink/item purchase minimum per person.

The Alley Stage is located on the Historic Marietta Square. There is ample free and paid parking on the Square. Please plan to arrive early to find parking.

CITY OF REFUGE
