Lower Providence Library News!

Hello Friends and Happy March!
We have exciting news for the month of March!
Back by popular demand is the Friends of the Lower Providence Community Library $5.00 bag sale.
Starting Saturday, March 9 through Saturday, March 16 you can fill a bag with used books for only $5.00.
Like all of their previous sales, the Friends of the Library will be providing the bags for this sale.
If you cannot visit the library during the bag sale, the regular book sale is always available during library hours.
Adult books are $2.00 for hardcovers and $1.00 for paperback.
Children's books are $1.00 for hardcover and $.50 for paperbacks
All used book sale proceeds go to the Friends of the Lower Providence Community Library and directly benefit the library.
Every January I sit down and set reading goals for myself for the rest of the year. These goals help me be a more well-rounded reader and I have really enjoyed and stuck to them in recent years. However, only 2 months into 2024 my goals are making me feel constrained and taking the fun out of picking books and reading for me. Therefore friends, for the foreseeable future I am going to abandon my year-long goals to read whatever my heart desires! I started at the end of February by picking up a new-to-me romance series, When in Rome by Sarah Adams. The first book When in Rome was a sweet, small-town, grumpy sunshine story about a burnt-out pop star, who inspired by Roman Holiday starring Audrey Hepburn runs away to Rome Kentucky. There she meets a grumpy pie shop owner and falls in love with more than just small-town life! I really enjoyed this delightful story and am excited to pick up the sequel, Practice Makes Perfect, in March.
Every month we will also be adding Marija's Monthly Reads to our Social Media accounts. Make sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram to see what I have read each month!
Happy reading and see you at the library!

Our Puzzle Swap area has become a beloved part of the library!
When we established the puzzle swap a little over a year ago, we never expected it to be as popular as it has become. That said, we're ready to share some guidelines to make the Puzzle Swap an enjoyable experience for all!
Puzzle Swap Guidelines are:
- Puzzles and their box must be in good shape with no tears, stains, odors, missing pieces, or damage.
- Puzzles must include a box.
- Please practice the "golden rule" of puzzles. Please give puzzles in the condition you would like to receive them in.
The Puzzle Swap will gladly accept:
- Jigsaw Puzzles for Adults and Children
- Board and Floor Puzzles
- 3-D puzzles
- New or Unused Puzzle Books
Due to the lack of space, not all puzzles are acceptable.
We cannot accept:
- Damaged puzzles, including:
- Missing pieces
- Missing or torn boxes
- Discolored or damaged boxes or pieces
- Puzzles of extreme age
