LAST CALL FOR AMPLIFY AUSTIN MARCH 6 & 7!

We are excited to announce that Paws in Prison qualifies for a $25,000 matching fund provided by an anonymous supporter for organizations in the Animal Care & Services cause category! Each nonprofit in this category will receive a portion of this $25,000 fund in a pro-rata distribution based on their total funds raised on Amplify Austin Day from 6 pm March 6 to 6 pm March 7.

We are most humbled to be one of 12 charities selected to have our Amplify Austin campaign filmed for live distribution by the professionals at Austin Film Society. We will be broadcast from roughly 8:05 to 8:40 PM on multiple cable channels, social media, apps, and our website. This is during our "Power Hour" so see below about how to contribute during that time.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Become a "Fundraising Champion!" This means asking your friends, family, co-workers, postman, etc to donate to our cause. The video below explains how to do this. If all recipients of this newletter raise just $33 each, we would reach our financial goal! There are also bonuses for nonprofits with the most fundraising champions so even your enrollment without any contributions can raise funds for Paws in Prison!

If you attend the Volunteer Orientation (see below for date and link) and become a Fundraising Champion with at least two unique donors, you will be entered into a drawing for a doTERRA essential oil kit that includes Wild Orange and Clove oils and an introductory kit that includes Lavender, Lemon, Peppermint and an On Guard hand sanitizing mist. This has a retail value of $86 plus shipping. See photo below. Shipping is included in this incentive prize to help Friends of Paws in Prison reach our fundraising goal!

Donate to PIP through Amplify Austin before March 7 at 6 PM

POWER HOUR!

All donations from 6 PM on March 6 to 6 PM on March 7, count towards the matching grants but the "most unique contributions" (this means a different name, email address, and payment form) from 8 pm to 9 pm on March 6 can win a $1,000 bonus. One person we know is paying their adult children $10 to donate $5 during this hour. This is the perfect hour for small donations!

Another chance of a $1,000 bonus is 1 pm to 2 pm on March 7. This is for the most money raised during that hour so save your big donations for that time!

Lucky Dog Autumn!

"Recently a young female dog, of guard and herding genes, was introduced into my home. It was love at first site! I had just lost my beloved rescued Akita dog, who had been a great friend.

Autumn came via the Paws in Prison program out of Lockhart Texas. The ladies there do an outstanding job of preparing a dog for placement into a forever home. Autumn happens to be deaf, however, she does not consider herself disabled in any way. She fits into our home very well.

Autumn has taken on the responsibility of "guard dog" and she takes this job very seriously, she guards the inside and outside of our property. She reports all perimeters are secure every day. Between her guarding responsibilities, Autumn and I play kickball and go for walks.

Autumn has a much older brother (a 12-year-old greyhound), and they get along well. Rebel, the greyhound finds Autumn rather amusing as she darts through the house and out the door to the backyard fence line. She happily greets all visitors to our home and has become well known to the neighbors. I am so lucky to have Autumn in my life,

Oh yes one more thing. I no longer need an alarm clock. I wake up to her kisses every morning!!" Darrell

Where did Autumn get her guarding and herding genes?
