PTGF Offers Convention Scholarships

Are you hoping to take your final RPT Exam at the 2024 PTG Convention and Technical Institute in Reno, Nevada?  The PTGF Convention Scholarship is for you! The Piano Technicians Guild Foundation offers scholarships each year to members intending to take their final RPT examination during the current year’s PTG Annual Convention & Institute. The scholarships provide individual recipients with funds for the convention registration fee, as well as examination fees to cover the applicant’s choice of either the PTG Technical Exam or Tuning Exam. Up to eight scholarships are awarded annually. Applications are due by April 30, 2024. Visit ptgfoundation.org/outreach/scholarships for details and to apply online.

Grand Action Regulation in 37 Steps

An intensive three-day skills-based course, Grand Action Regulation in 37 Steps will help you polish your skills in grand regulation and ensure that your clients' grand pianos are performing at full potential. Based on curriculum from Yamaha's "The Little Red Schoolhouse," participants will benefit from personal pianos, small group instruction and individual feedback. Polyester & Lacquer Finish Touch Up Academy

May 16 - 17, 2024

Limited spots available. Come spend two full days learning the secrets of how to perform professional repair and touch up to damaged polyester or lacquer finished pianos. Whether you wish to be totally safe touching up edges, light scratches, and small defects, or you are ambitious enough to take on a lacquer or polyester fill repair, discover how you can add more income to your service calls. This class is also a great opportunity for those who work with piano moving or sales.
