Scarsdale Adult School E-News

March 2024

Breaking News

As an e-blast subscriber, you are the first to learn that spring/summer registration is open! We are continuing to add classes to round out next term's offerings, and many more will appear in the coming weeks.

Effective immediately, our home page and the course catalog display on our ALL CLASSES page are sporting a new look, with our spring/summer colors and a drop-down menu that runs horizontally across the screen.

All in-person and online classes are now grouped together by subject matter. That way, if you are looking for a language class or writing class, for example, you will be able to find them all in one place with a single click of a button. Online classes will show a class location of "Online" or "Zoom" going forward.

Our spring/summer printable flipbook will be available soon. Until then, the winter flipbook is still available and includes all of the March courses yet to begin.

Peruse all classes currently listed and reserve your priority seats for next semester.

Join the Advisory Committee

The role of the Advisory Committee member is to serve as an SAS ambassador to the greater community, help grow and support our mission, and spread news about our wonderful programming.

The Advisory Committee meets formally as a group in the evening, once in the fall and once again in the spring, to brainstorm ideas for new classes, instructors, and events, and to share constructive feedback and creative input about any other aspect of SAS. Advisory Committee members provide a direct link to and from the greater adult population, presenting not only their own ideas and thoughts at Advisory Committee meetings but those of others within their respective communities.

The SAS Advisory Committee will soon have several open spots for new members. Two-year terms begin in July 2024. If you have questions or perhaps an idea for a new course, or if you know of a teacher interested in joining our faculty, please send an email to [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you!
