In the past five years, the District spent over $90 million in contract awards to certified women-owned businesses! Our ultimate goal is to support the sustainable growth of small, women, and minority-owned businesses.


At the Office of Diversity in Business Practices at the School District of Palm Beach County, we have a total of 243 certified women-owned businesses, including:

  • 97 African American Female
  • 6 Asian American Female
  • 53 Hispanic American Female
  • 85 White Female

About WIC (Women In Construction) Week

WIC Week™, or Women in Construction Week™, celebrates and promotes the role of women in the construction industry. NAWIC held the first WIC Week in 1998 and it has grown and expanded each year since. Many of our local chapters hold WIC Week events, which can include making presentations to high school classes, job site tours, luncheons and virtual events.
