Rural Teacher Corps Hosts Annual Teacher Panel and Launches Science Kits
The Wyoming Rural Teacher Corps hosted its third annual Rural Teacher Panel, where members and undergraduate education majors explored rural teaching through conversations with experienced educators. Special thanks to panelists Lisa Lowenfels (Kelly Elementary), Jenna Schultz (Greybull High School), and Bailey Iacovetto (SOROCO High School and WY RTC alum) for sharing their insights and experiences. In addition, Alison Mercier and Rochelle Green have developed Wyoming-focused, phenomenon-driven science kits for second-grade classrooms. After professional development sessions, UW students delivered these kits to 23 classrooms across the state. The team continues to support teachers and is now working on science and literacy integrated kits for Kindergarten and first grade, further enriching local elementary education.
