March 2025

On Saturday, April 5, at the White Hart, EXTRAS will host their first Gala Benefit evening. EXTRAS, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, whose mission is to provide quality care after school and on school breaks and half days - hence the name: Extended Time for Recreational Activities in Salisbury (“EXTRAS”).

EXTRAS plays a critical role in the community to provide a supportive, nurturing and affordable place for our children, especially for working families. However, EXTRAS cannot survive on tuition alone. Due to the fact that EXTRAS strives to meet the needs of the community and remain affordable, it is critical that outside fundraising meet the gap.

At the Gala, all proceeds of sponsorship, ticket sales, silent auction, live auction and raffle will go to EXTRAS. There will be food, drink, and entertainment.

Transfer Station Recycling Advisory Committee (TRAC) Talk

The Transfer Station Recycling Advisory Committee (TRAC) will begin a regular contribution to Salisbury’s monthly newsletter. TRAC and Brian Bartram, Transfer Station Manager, will share tips and trends in waste management and recycling efficiency, and some highlights from our bimonthly meetings. Our meetings are held by Zoom on the 3rd Wednesday of every other month. The next meeting is April 16th, 2025 via zoom.

TIP OF THE MONTH:  If you live quite a distance from the Transfer Station, we suggest you check the Transfer Station Website (Click HERE) to make sure there are no unexpected closures due to weather or other issues.  Occasionally, the Swap Shop is closed for cleaning and clearing (to make room for new incoming items).
