It sure seemed that March came in like a lion, but it’s already starting to tame. While you’re enjoying some of the upcoming sunny days and warm weather, don’t miss these grant opportunities.

City of Pittsburgh Public Service Grant Program

 

This program awards federally funded grants to local nonprofit organizations serving Pittsburgh residents with low and moderate incomes. Awarded projects will provide direct services to vulnerable populations. The Public Service grant has funded projects such as food pantries, youth programs, job training, career counseling, literacy programs, senior activity programs, and more.

CFA: Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF)


The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure a safe and reliable system of transportation. Applicants – municipalities, councils of government, businesses, economic development organizations, public transportation agency, ports (rail/freight) – can apply for funds to improve transportation assets that enhance communities, pedestrian safety, and transit revitalization.

DEP: Reducing Industrial Sector Emissions in PA (RISE PA)


The Pennsylvania DEP is accepting grant applications from companies that own industrial facilities, mines, and natural gas infrastructure for projects that will create up to 6,000 jobs and reduce air pollution in the industrial and manufacturing sectors. Nearly $400 million is available for projects that reduce air pollution from industrial facilities and create jobs.

Watershed Restoration Protection Program (WRPP)


Grants are awarded for watershed restoration and protection projects. The overall goal of the WRPP is to restore, and maintain restored stream reaches impaired by the uncontrolled discharge of nonpoint source polluted runoff, and ultimately to remove these streams from the Department of Environmental Protection’s Impaired Waters list.

Baseline Water Quality Data Program (BWQDP)


Program may be used to fund statewide initiatives to establish baseline water quality data on private water supplies using the Baseline Water Quality Data Program.
