Xin chào!!

I’m Khanh Mai, an 18-year-old international student from Vietnam, currently in my second semester studying pre-allied health! Moving to the U.S. just a few months ago has been such a big adventure for me. Everything here feels so new and exciting—like discovering boba shops on every corner (I’m obsessed!) and learning how friendly everyone is. People smile at you even if they don’t know you, and it’s honestly one of my favorite things about being here!

A little about me: I’m completely in love with the color pink. My water bottle? Pink. My backpack? Pink. Even my favorite hoodie is pink! It’s like a little piece of joy I carry with me everywhere. When I’m not in class or studying, I love exploring new places, trying delicious food, and FaceTiming my family and friends back home. I do miss Vietnamese food, especially bún bò, it’s my comfort dish, but discovering American food has been fun too!

The best part about being here, though, is meeting new people and making friends. I love hearing different stories, learning about everyone’s cultures, and sharing laughs. Life is so much better when you have people to share it with, and I’m always excited to meet someone new. If you see me around campus, don’t be shy, come say hi! I’d love to get to know you, grab some boba, or even explore together. Let’s make some amazing memories!

Thank you to everyone here for being so kind and welcoming. Everyone here make my journey of studying abroad become meaningful although there’re a lot difficulties to me. I can’t wait to meet more of you, share more stories , and have more fun together.

Catch me around campus (probably sipping boba or wearing pink)! Let’s be friends! 💖💕
