March is here and spring will be here before long. We’re all looking forward to our spring and summer outdoor events. Our Golf Outing is being moved to May 13, 2025 at Seven Bridges Golf Club. If you are interested in helping to plan this event or the other Chamber events, you can join one of our committees. Please contact the Chamber office if you would like to join the committees.
We look forward to the Ribbon Cutting at Northwest Lawn and Power Equipment taking place on March 27th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The ribbon cutting will take place at 5:15 p.m. Be sure to check the events calendar on the Chamber website to keep up with all of our events.
We would like to encourage everybody to participate in our events and committees. All are a networking opportunity and a chance to meet other business professionals and spread the word about your business. We should also remember the importance of supporting our local businesses. We have many great shops, services and restaurants in the Lisle area and the members on the Chamber website are a great place to start your search.

AMBASSADOR SPOTLIGHT
Maha Alkarzon
Hopeful Beginnings of St. Mary's Services
This month’s featured Ambassador is Maha Alkarzon of Hopeful Beginnings of St. Mary’s Services. Maha has been a member of the Chamber member since September 2024. In addition to the Ambassador Committee, Maha has been involved with the Downtown Business Council. Both have allowed her to engage with local businesses and help support the Chamber’s initiatives.
Maha is the Community Outreach Coordinator at Hopeful Beginnings, which is a nonprofit organization focused on supporting families with pregnancy, parenting, and mental health. In her role, she oversees community engagement, builds partnerships with local organizations, and organizes events to raise awareness of their service. She also manages outreach efforts to ensure they connect with families who need their support. Maha has been in the nonprofit and outreach sector for 6 months, with a focus on community development and marketing.
Being an Ambassador for the Lisle Area Chamber has been incredibly rewarding for Maha. It has allowed her to build meaningful connections with fellow business leaders and expand awareness for Hopeful Beginnings. The relationships and opportunities have strengthened their presence in the community.
Maha lives in Downers Grove and while she doesn’t have any children or pets, she is passionate about traveling and volunteering. One of her favorite quotes by Mahatma Gandi is “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” It reminds her of the importance of serving our community with purpose and compassion.

MULTI-CHAMBER RIBBON CUTTING

The Golf Practice held their Multi-Chamber Ribbon Cutting with the Lisle Area Chamber and the Naperville Area Chamber on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at their new location in Lisle. The Golf Practice in Lisle opened in January of 2025. The Golf Practice Lisle is the newest state of the art indoor golf training facility in the Chicagoland area. Serving the Lisle, Naperville, Wheaton, and Hinsdale communities, this 15,000 square foot indoor training facility is equipped with 8 Trackman simulators and over 5,000 square feet of short game and putting practice space. The Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce awards scholarships to high school students graduating in 2025.
Awards are based on several considerations that include academic achievement, community involvement, and need.
Application deadline is April 11, 2025 by 4:00 p.m.
Application Requirements:

Applicants must either have an immediate family member who is a member of the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce (individually or through corporate affiliation), or they must have a Lisle mailing address.
- Applicants must plan to attend a technical or trade school, business college, or a two- or four-year college or university.
- The application packet must be fully and legibly completed.

The application must be received at the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce via email submission (info@lislechamber.com or jill@lislechamber.com); delivered in-person to the Lisle Area Chamber office or by U.S. Mail postmarked (925 Burlington Avenue, Lisle IL 60532) by 4:00 p.m. on April 11, 2025. The Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce assumes no responsibility for application packets that are not correctly submitted.

Strengthening Business, Building Connections: Chamber Golf Outing
The Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Chamber Golf Outing, bringing together local professionals for a day of networking, friendly competition, and community support. The Golf Outing will be taking place at Chamber member Seven Bridges Golf Club on May 13, 2025 at 1:00pm with a shot gun start. This event will draw business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community members for an enjoyable and eventful day on the green.
This annual event provides a unique opportunity for members to connect outside the office, fostering relationships that strengthen our local business community. With a mix of experienced golfers and beginners, participants will enjoy an 18-hole round, fun contests, and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for building new connections.
Beyond the fairways, the outing serves a greater purpose supporting the Chambers initiatives that help local businesses thrive. Proceeds from the event will go to funding of the Chamber and this year a donation will be made to the Lisle Education Foundation.
