Movie Night | Join us tonight (2/28) at the Center at 7:00 pm to watch Queendom: In defiance of Russia’s anti-LGBTQ laws, a queer, 21-year-old artist risks her life performing in surreal costumes throughout Moscow. Jenna Marvin’s radical public performances blend artistry and activism in this SXSW documentary.

Wicked Movie Night at Coastal Rep | Join Coastal Rep for a potluck dinner and a movie hosted by Susan Savich and Mary Stadler. The event will take place TOMORROW on March 1st, potluck at 6 pm, movie at 7 pm. Coastal Rep is located at 1167 Main Street, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019. *Trans = trans man, trans woman, non-binary, gender expansive, gender-queer, and anyone else who is not cisgendered or exists outside of the binary identities of man/woman. Folks who are questioning their gender identity are welcome.

Trans Week of Visibility at the SMC Pride Center

The San Mateo County Pride Center is hosting a variety of events for Trans Week of Visibility :) Read on to see what will be happening…

Join us in celebrating the beauty, strength, and visibility of our trans, gender diverse, and non-binary community! This year, Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV) is on March 31st; however, we think one day is just not enough... so, Pride Center is proud to host our second Trans Week of Visibility! We have some exciting plans in store for you: 

Legal Name & Gender Change Workshop | Learn how to update your identity documents, get assistance with filling out the court paperwork, and find answers to any questions you have about the process.

Trans 101 Workshop | Want to better understand the relevant and pressing needs of the transgender and non-binary communities? This training offers in-depth conversations on topics such as transphobia, transitioning, being an ally to people of all gender identities and expressions, and more. We conclude this training with tips and tricks on how to be an advocate for the trans community as well as resources for continued learning.

Becoming More Visibly You | Gender Affirmation Workshop: Explore your identity; Learn makeup/styling tricks; Browse our gender-affirming closet; Connect with your community; and know where to find local resources (HRT, voice coaching, and more).

A Mixer for Families of Trans Kids | Come join us for an evening with community. Meet other parents and caregivers of trans and gender nonconforming kids. The whole family is welcome. We will have icebreakers, a panel, and time to mix and mingle for the adults as well as activities for the kids.

GBT+ Older Adult Men’s Discussion Group | The Men’s Discussion Group is an open topic discussion group for GBT+ men, ages 55+ in San Mateo County. Please join us to reconnect and make friends as we gather in a supportive space to discuss issues both personal and topical. 1st & 3rd Mondays, 10:30 am - 11:30 am in San Mateo.
