Protect Your Pet From Pyometra.
Spay Today.
Pyometra is a devastating uterine infection that can quickly become life-threatening for unspayed female dogs, especially those over six. This is why we passionately advocate for spaying. The cost and risks associated with pyometra surgery far exceed those of a standard spay.
This month has been heartbreaking, with numerous pyometra cases requiring emergency intervention. This precious dog, featured here, was one of several we have treated recently. Thanks to her vigilant owners, we were able to perform the life-saving surgery she needed. Imagine the relief she'll feel after healing! Please, for their safety and well-being, spay your pets.

Heartworm Prevention:
A Spring Essential
| |
As the weather warms, mosquitoes become active and the risk of heartworm disease increases significantly. Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially fatal condition caused by parasitic worms that live in the heart, lungs, and associated blood vessels of affected animals.
-
Why is prevention crucial? Heartworm disease is costly and difficult to treat, and prevention is far more effective and affordable.
-
How is it transmitted? Mosquitoes transmit heartworm larvae when they bite your pet.
-
What are the symptoms? Symptoms can include coughing, fatigue, weight loss, and difficulty breathing. However, in early stages, many pets show no signs at all.
-
What we offer: At WCVC, we provide affordable heartworm testing and preventative medications. Our veterinarians can help you choose the best option for your pet's needs.
Take Action Now. Don't wait until it's too late!

Featured Adoptable at SFTS:
Stache
This sweet girl is a true "love sponge". Stache blossoms with affection. She's a gentle soul, content to cuddle and relax, yet she also enjoys bursts of playful energy outdoors. She thrives on reassurance, clear guidance, and responds eagerly to training. Though initially shy, her desire to please shines through.
Stache adores children and would be a wonderful family companion. She loves to snuggle at bedtime, even burrowing under the covers for extra warmth. With proper introductions, she may also be compatible with a calm, neutral-energy dog.
If you're ready to offer Stache the loving home she deserves, she eagerly awaits the chance to begin her happy new chapter.
