NCFRW – Thankful for the blessings of Liberty! | | | From the desk of Kay Wildt, NCFRW President | |
"Where there is no vision, the people perish." Proverbs 29:18-19
President Trump's vision: America FIRST!
Are we tired of winning yet? In just 60 days, President Trump has over-delivered on his promises to put America first, and for that, we are beyond grateful.
Between his Executive Orders and DOGE's shocking revelations of the discovery of $115,000.000.000, as of today, in Waste, Fraud and Unbelievable Abuse, the nation sees that President Trump is keeping his promises to the American people.
The Left and the Legacy Media are reeling from the speed at which the President is accomplishing his agenda and slowing the hemorrhaging of our treasury to other nations and to projects of questionable value when the USA is staggering under massive, ever-increasing debt.
We're on the move working toward the mid-term elections. Be brave; be strong; the Left and its sycophant media will continue to throw allegations and hatred our way. Be prepared. Hold on to your hats; it'll be a wild ride!

Will Graham, of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, prayed for our legislators at the North Carolina General Assembly’s first session of 2025.
“They carry a burden that most people won’t fully understand or appreciate. They carry the burdens on behalf of others. I pray that You would give them each the wisdom to know what is right and the courage to follow Your desires no matter the cost.”
“Lord, we confess that we do not have all the answers to the problems we face today. Therefore we ask of You to ordain these servants of the state. Give them wisdom and help them to lead this great state of North Carolina."

We just finished breathing a sigh of relief that North Carolina delivered for President Trump and a number of other key Republican candidates ..... when it's time to gear up for municipal elections!
All across North Carolina, local governments make important decisions about local issues: policing, development, trash service, taxation, and other matters that affect our daily lives.
NCFRW members, if you’re passionate about creating positive change in your community, now is the time to step up. We need YOU!
Interested in running? Reach out to the NCSBE for information about running for office, about municipal elections in your area, and about the election cycle.

What do Kat Timpf, Rep. Byron Daniels and Riley Gaines and other notable public figures have in common?
The Leadership Institute!
The Leadership Institute (LI) provides Candidate Development Schools that offer low-cost and free training to conservatives who want to be effective leaders in their communities. Whether the training is In-Person here in NC, On Demand, Virtual, or at its Virginia headquarters, LI gives us the tools that make a difference.

| | Laurie Buckhout, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy | |
Congratulations Laurie Buckhout!
Laurie Buckhout, NCFRW member of Northeast Carolina RW, was appointed the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy under Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
A retired Army Colonel with 25 years of service and a decorated combat commander, Laurie follows a long line of family combat veterans, including her Infantry Colonel father, her Army Air Corps Flight Nurse mother and her grandfather.
Having worked with Laurie, as many in NCFRW did in her close run for Congress in NC's 1st District, we know the quality of her character. Laurie's background in Cyber and Electronic Warfare makes her an outstanding asset to our national security.

At our Fall Board meeting, Sidney Powell shocked many with her story of ongoing abuse by The 65 Project, “a “dark money group with ties to Democratic Party heavyweights” that publicly targets conservative lawyers, as well as tactics used by the Department of Justice (DOJ) weaponized to destroy her and others who supported President Trump.
Sidney just had a big win against the Texas Bar. She has now beaten back three attempts (one was an appeal) by leftists in Texas to strip her law license. Powell said the bar’s disciplinary attempt “is the epitome of lawfare that shouldn’t be allowed in this country.”
Thankfully, the Trump Administration is taking actions to hold accountable those who have used the Justice Department and the FBI to entrap, harass, arrest and jail thousands of Americans because of their political and religious beliefs.
Congratulations, Sidney, we are delighted for your vindication!

It was an honor to speak to two clubs in Asheville - the luncheon meeting of the Buncombe Co. RWC, and the evening meeting of the Blue Ridge RWC.
Delphine Noland, President of Buncombe, welcomed me at her luncheon meeting where it was delightful to be with Doris Hawkins, past VP for the Mountain Region and Cher Marie Silvius, pictured on the left, and so many wonderful members of that club which has served the region for 62 years.
It was a treat to be at the evening dinner meeting of the Blue Ridge RWC , now celebrating its 35th year. President Robyn Hite Heath featured Tanzy Wallace, Treasurer & Membership Chair of the Frederick Douglass Foundation of North Carolina who gave an outstanding presentation about the organization's history and the contributions of Frederick Douglass.

Remember Western North Carolina
Driving to Asheville, the destruction from Hurricane Helene is still visible. Thanks to wonderful volunteers on the ground, there is help, but much work remains.
These are the best organizations working every day since Hurricane Helene hit to relieve the suffering and help neighbors rebuild in those devastated areas:
1. Samaritan's Purse
2. North Carolina Baptists On Mission
