March 2025

Lower Providence Library News!

Happy March Friends!

I don't know about you, but I loved seeing the sun during the last week of February, and it excites me for March! There are a lot of exciting things to announce to you this month.

On March 18th, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, we will welcome Dr. Zerbe, the superintendent of Methacton School District for Coffee and Conversation. Stop by the library cafe for a cup of coffee, pastry, and an opportunity to chat with Dr. Zerbe about what is happening throughout Methacton.

All throughout March, Kimberton Whole Foods in Collegeville the library will be the featured non-profit for their Round up the Register program. When you shop at Kimberton Whole Foods and round up your total, the difference benefits the library!

Thank you to Kimberton Whole Foods for this opportunity!

Finally, we are officially pairing with Ember + Ale in Collegeville on our Beanstack 25 in 2025 Challenge! Participants who complete the 25 in 2025 Challenge will earn a voucher for a free pizza at Ember + Ale! This challenge is open to all ages, and one voucher can be used per visit to Ember+Ale!

Even though we are only 2 months into 2025, I have already had to adjust my reading goals, to be more reasonable. In 2024 my goal was 75 books and I ended the year at 94 read books. However this year, I am gravitating towards longer, denser books that take longer to read, including more Non-Fiction, and have adjusted my reading goal to 52 books. This month I read two non-fiction titles, The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt and Be Ready When the Luck Happens by Ina Garten. Both titles were captivating and I cannot recommend the Audiobooks enough!

Happy reading and see you at the library!
