From The Pastor..

The beginning of March this year begins the third cycle of the church calendar. The first was Advent leading into Christmas and the second is Christmastide, or the 12 days of Christmas, that begins on December 25 and runs through January 6 or the day of Epiphany. From then, we are in an Ordinal, or commonly known as "ordinary", time when we notice that the cloths on the altar turn from white to green. It is a time to focus on the ongoing teachings and ministry of Jesus Christ, allowing for deeper reflection on his life and actions through the readings of the Gospel throughout the year.

UMCOR One Great Hour of Sharing

In the month of March, your donations will be sent to the United Methodist Committee on Relief, which aids in ministries of food, shelter, health and peace.

LENTEN FOLDERS

Lenten folders are in the Narthex. If you would like to participate, please fill your folder and place in the offering plate in the back of the Sanctuary on Easter Sunday, or bring to the church office. Thank you.

EASTER LILIES

We will be accepting donations in any monetary amount for Easter Lilies for the Sanctuary. Please fill out a form if you would like to have it in memory of honor of a loved one. Forms can be found in the Narthex and along with your donation can be given to Lynette Altman, Amy Mosher or Cheryl Orkis by April 6th.

LITTLE LIGHTS

PRESCHOOL

Spring is happening this month and our preschoolers are ready for warm weather. We will do interesting activities related to Spring and Easter.

We will continue to have Show & Tell. This month the objects will begin with the letters I, J, K, L, M, and N.

The class will learn that God wants us to get along with others through Bible stories about Joseph and his brothers.

We will have Spring Break March 24-28. We are hoping for some great Spring-like weather!

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

We will meet on Tuesday, March 11th, at 1:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Betty Tolson will be presenting the program. All women are invited!!!
