From Your

Associational Mission Strategist

At our recent Association Executive Committee meeting, the committee unanimously voted to sell the Association's office property. This is a significant step toward ensuring the financial health of our association. I’m excited about how this decision will allow us to direct more resources toward association evangelistic and mission efforts as well as helping churches reach people with the gospel and supporting them financially in their community efforts. Please join us in prayer as we prepare to place the property on the market, asking God to bring the right buyer at the right time. Once the sale is complete, our administrative functions will shift to a home-based setup, and we will conduct our committee meetings via different churches. I am confident that this decision will secure our financial stability and ensure we have the necessary funding to fulfill our mission into the future. If you have any questions about this decision, please feel free to contact me.

Our camp season is just a few months away, and we are seeking individuals from our churches to serve as camp missionaries. If you are interested in serving, please let me know. I view our camp ministry as a vital local mission and a wonderful opportunity for both individuals and churches to share the gospel with children. With a team of outstanding Camp Directors this year, I eagerly anticipate the work God will do in our camps this summer.

Mark your calendars for March 27th, when we will host our second Annual Equip Leadership Conference at Penia Baptist Church. This year’s conference isn’t just for ministry leaders—there will be breakout sessions available for anyone seeking to grow and be equipped as a follower of Christ. We will kick off the evening at 6:00 pm with a light meal, followed by breakout sessions starting at 6:45. For more details, please refer to the information in this newsletter.

It is a joy to serve alongside our pastors and churches, encouraging them as they make disciples and impacting their communities for the Kingdom. I am always available to provide resources, training, and support. One area where I’ve been able to assist churches is in strategy planning—helping them evaluate their current status and explore ways to grow stronger and healthier. I also offer personalized Sunday School training. If I can serve your congregation in any way, please let me know.

Finally, I encourage all of our churches to pray for one another and work together to reach those who are lost. Let’s keep the main thing the main thing—remaining focused on the mission God has given us!

Week of Prayer for North American Missions

March 2 - 9, 2025

What is the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering?

The offering was started in 1895 by Woman's Missionary Union® (WMU) to benefit the work of the Home Mission Board (now North American Mission Board). In 1934, it was named in honor of Annie Armstrong, a bold missions advocate and WMU's first national executive leader. Today, more than $2 billion has been donated by Southern Baptist churches and individuals to support thousands of missionaries in church planting and compassion ministries. Because of this sacrificial giving, millions of lives have been and continue to be transformed by the power of the gospel.

ATTENTION!!

(Regarding old Sunday School books!)

Due to health reasons of our regional contact person, we are no longer able to collect old Sunday School books for the Edwin L. Hodges Ministries. The regional person who was collecting them is no longer able to carry on with this ministry.

We will provide information by summer of a location where churches can bring their Vacation Bible School materials to share with other churches.
