2024 Businessperson and Citizen of the Year Announced

Each year the Piedmont Area Chamber of Commerce selects a Businessperson and Citizen of the Year to be recognized for their generous contributions to the Piedmont Community. This year we received several outstanding nominations and were honored to select Larry and Pam Umfleet owners/operators of longstanding area business Piedmont Processing as the 2024 Businessperson of the Year. Libby Clark was selected as 2024 Citizen of the Year. Libby has been the organizer and work horse behind the community Angel Tree project for many years providing Christmas for hundreds of children. We are so thankful for the Umfleet's and Libby's unending dedication to our community. Piedmont is a better place because of their contributions. Planning is underway for this year's annual banquet. Join us on March 27th at Trinity United Methodist Church for the Businessperson of the Year Banquet to help celebrate them. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the Chamber office at 313 Piedmont Ave or on our website at www.visitpiedmontmo.com/bpoybanquet.
