Village Annual Budget Meeting Schedule
The Village Budget consists of the General Fund (which funds most Village operations), the Capital Fund (used for capital projects such as purchasing equipment & infrastructure improvements), the Debt Fund (which pays the interest and premium on bonds) & the Water and Sewer Funds (which fund those systems).
Below is the present calendar of dates for budget sessions. All meetings will begin at 7 PM unless otherwise noted and will be held in the Georgianna Grant Meeting Room. Croton-on-Hudson 2026 Veterans Banner Program
The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is proud to offer the Hometown Hero Banner Program to honor and recognize the sacrifice and commitment of those who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces. These banners, purchased by friends, families, community organizations, or businesses, are displayed prominently along main roads in the community from Memorial Day through Veterans Day each year.
Each banner measures 30"x60" and costs $225, which includes the banner, hardware for hanging, installation, and storage. Banners are displayed annually from Memorial Day to Veterans Day.
To order a banner, please click here to complete the form and upload a photo. All orders should be submitted no later than April 15, 2026. Reminders for Dog Owners
As the spring season approaches, here are a few reminders about dog regulations in the Village. Chapter 108 of the Village Code provides more details on the below information.
To ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment, please remember that dogs must be kept on a leash when in public spaces, and owners must clean up after their pets during walks.
All dogs need to be properly licensed with the Village. To learn more about licensing your dog, please click here.
Dogs are permitted on-leash at Gouveia Park, Black Rock Park and along the walking path at Croton Landing Park. Dogs are prohibited in all other parks and recreation areas.
The Village has an off-leash dog park located in Black Rock Park. All residents must obtain a permit for the dog park. For more information about the guidelines, click here.

Utility Bill Payment Reminder - Due April 15
Utility bills will be sent out on March 15 and are due by April 15.
Payment may be made by U.S. Mail, left in the 24/7 dropbox outside the Municipal Building or by visiting the Municipal Building, 1 Van Wyck Street, during normal business hours.
Alternatively, you can conveniently make an online payment through the Village website here.
Please note that utility bills can now be paid online using a VISA credit or debit card, in addition to MasterCard, Discover and ACH!

On February 20, 2026, HEART Committee members Carolyn Whiting and Bob Whiting, Deputy Mayor and Trustee Liaison Len Simon, Mayor Brian Pugh, 2024 HEART Award recipient Pete Tsagarakis, and 2025 HEART Award recipient Cornelia Cotton, together with Aurelia Semisa, daughter of 2025 HEART Award recipient Dr. Aurelius Semisa, unveiled a perpetual plaque in the Community Room of the Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building.
The plaque recognizes all 2024 and 2025 HEART Award recipients and will include future honorees.
The unveiling took place during a Senior Club meeting. The HEART Committee provided cake for the occasion and thanks the Senior Club for sharing their meeting for the unveiling.

Croton’s Women’s History Month Celebration
Date: Now through March 31, 2026
Time: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
Location: Businesses throughout Croton-on-Hudson
Thirty posters honoring accomplished historic women of Croton-on-Hudson will be displayed in local businesses throughout the Village during March in celebration of Women’s History Month. The posters were prepared by Our World's Creative Women, a program of Croton Council on the Arts.
Families are invited to take part in a fun scavenger hunt created by Girl Scout Troop 2267. Forms will be distributed through Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School and will also be available at CrotonGirlScouts.org.
Visit participating businesses, learn about each featured Croton woman, and answer a simple question. Return completed forms to CET by March 31 to be entered into a raffle for prizes. (You don’t have to find all thirty to enter.)

Food Pantry

The Croton-Cortlandt Food Pantry operates as a choice pantry and is open on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. The pantry is located in the Parish Center, Lower Level, at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. The entrance is near Vassallo Park. For more information, click here.

NYS Boating and Jet Ski Safety Certification Class
Date: Sunday, March 22, 2026
Time: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Location: Croton Yacht Club, 6 Elliott Way
This safety certification class is mandatory for anyone operating a motorboat or jet ski in New York State. Registration is a two-part process: participants must first register themselves and family members through the New York State Parks website and then complete payment at nyboatingsafety.com; those who have already paid should complete registration for themselves and family members on the nyboatingsafety.com site. Please be sure to use your legal name (no nicknames) when registering. The fee is $75.
