March 2026

Lower Providence Library News!

Hello Friends!

Welcome to March!

Hopefully, this month we will see the end of snow and cold, and welcome some warmer, sunnier days!

This month, the Friends of the Lower Providence Library will host a $5.00 used bag sale from Saturday, March 7, through Saturday, March 21. Stop by and stock up on gently used books in support of the library. The Friends have a great selection for this sale and will provide the bags, so you don't have to worry about bringing one with you.

All proceeds benefit the Lower Providence Library!

After what felt like a year-long reading drought, I think I have finally gotten my reading mojo back! In February, I read 7 books, and I'm happy to report they were all winners. My five-star read of the month was The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. I know, there are currently over 800 people waiting for this title; however, I am here to tell you it is worth it, especially the audiobook. This epistolary novel is charming and heartfelt, and you will fall in love with Sybil Van Antwerp and the cast of characters she is corresponding with. Next, I reconnected with a favorite author, B.K. Borison, picking up the first book in her new Heartstrings Series, First-Time Caller. Each book in this series is loosely based on a Meg Ryan Rom-Com classic, starting with Sleepless in Seattle. Personally, I love a rom-com, and B.K. Borison did a great job paying homage to the classic. The second book in the series, And Now, Back to You, was released on February 24. Finally, I dove headfirst back into the Finlay Donovan series by Elle Cosimano. From the first novel, I have described these "cosy mysteries" as a very whoopsie-poopsie series of events. The latest installments, Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave and Finlay Donovan Crosses the Line, continue this delightful tradition. Finlay and her kooky cast of characters are endearing and hilarious as they stumble through life, and occasionally murder. Finlay Donovan Digs Her Own Grave is available in all formats and at the library, and Finlay Donovan Crosses the Line will be available March 17, 2026. I was lucky enough to receive an advanced listener copy.

Thank you all for your continued support and patronage of the

Lower Providence Community Library!

It is an absolute honor and privilege to serve this wonderful community

year after year.

Happy reading, and see you at the library!
