March 21, 2020 – Letter to Residents COVID-19
Communication sent on behalf of David Jones, General Manager, Quail Creek Country Club, Inc.
Quail Creek Residents,

We want to share our appreciation for everyone’s understanding and patience as we are all experiencing a unique and uncertain time.

Like you, we are concerned about the potential spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This past week we took precautions and have asked that you protect yourselves as well. We provided POA updates and links from federal and local governments so you could stay well informed. We continue to monitor and communicate with local governmental agencies. As they adjust their operations and implement any restrictions, we will do so as well. Due to the possible spread of the virus, certain facilities have been closed and activities cancelled. This was a difficult decision, one we knew would not be favored by all.
We are certain that Quail Creek is a strong community of residents who care about their neighbors. Let’s try to navigate through this together.

We ask if you feel ill that you:

  • contact your healthcare provider
  • do not visit your neighbors and self-quarantine
  • call and ask neighbors for assistance with shopping;
  • ask for items to be left at the doorstep, and
  • do not visit as they drop off your items

If you are aware of a resident that may need assistance, please reach out and ask if you can help.

This past week, most of you have contacted The Grill at Quail Creek for breakfast, lunch and dinner for meals to go. The response has been overwhelming! As a result, we have added additional phone lines to service your orders. Please look for daily specials, pre-order for Easter, or pick up a platter of food that can last you a few days. You’ll find menu options on our website .

Residents have shared their concerns about staff members. We want you to know that our staff is doing well. There were openings in other departments which allowed some staff to be reassigned. For example, our favorite restaurant host, Ron Darrah, is currently working at the Main Gate, greeting you as you drive into Quail Creek. We are proud of our staff for stepping up, being flexible and pitching in where needed.

This past week, F&B departments at Robson and Quail Creek brainstormed a new concept called “Groceries to Go”. We will be rolling this out very soon and will continue to provide you with updates. Team members are working with programmers to develop software to order groceries online. F&B is partnering with our food suppliers who will deliver food in bulk. We are certain that we’ll be able to provide items that local grocery stores may not have. Click on Groceries to Go for a preview of items that will be available for purchase. We are excited to be able to provide this service within our community.

As changes happen day to day, we are amazed at the compassion, cooperation and resilience of our Quail Creek residents and the community we call home.

Best Regards,

David Jones
