Greetings!
Spring break is over for me, so I guess it’s back to work. School work, that is. In the Soroptimist International of Chico world, we have been busy, and we’re not done yet. Committees meet this week, and next week we have a free week. Enjoy the break before the craziness commences in April.
The Sierra Nevada Conference is live and in person next weekend April 1-3. After that is my President’s Project on Friday, April 8, 2022. This exclusive event is for the 20-something female to connect with other female business leaders and mentors in the community. The Advocate for Great Live Event is going to be great. We are bringing in Catherine Calarco, a SI Chico scholarship winner (1978), worldwide leader and a vice president in AI. There will also be a mentor panel of women from the community. We are providing dinner from Bacio. The sign ups are at
www.tinyurl.com/Advocate4Great. Spread the word to the 20- something females in your circle.
The following day is Saturday, April 9, 2022 and is the SIA signature high school program, Dream It, Be It. SI Bidwell Rancho and SI Chico are coordinating this one-day event. This amazing day is already looking to more than triple our impact over the last several years; we already have 35 girls signed up. There are a few slots left if you want to volunteer. I need someone to help me facilitate session 4. PLEASE! Send me an email if you’re interested.
After DIBI, we will have a joint SUDS with SIBR hosted by SI Objectives committee. More details to come.
Don’t forget to sign up for the Home & Garden volunteer time slots. This is a fundraising requirement of our club. So, if you’re not going to conference, consider spending a couple of hours with your fellow Soroptimist sisters.
See some of you this week at the board meeting or committee meetings.
