Rev. Nancy's Sermon This Week
Truth and Meaning-Making
Rev. Nancy McDonald Ladd, Senior Minister
Is there a difference between the truth you can always count on and the meaning you make along the way? Which is more important, and in what can sometimes feel like a post-truth world, how can we reclaim some truths we can trust?

Join us for our Watch Party! See the notice in Online Ministries section below.

You'll be able to find Rev. Nancy's pre-recorded sermon on our website and YouTube channel or her podcast once they're posted. Read more about our services here .
Coronavirus Updates
Building Closure
Given the rapid spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the recommendations set forth by the CDC, state and county authorities, the oval office, and the UUA, we decided to close the RRUUC building until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we hope that you understand that safety is the primary concern. If you have a need to access the building, please contact us at office@rruuc.org .

Weekly Online Open Ministers Forum, Wednesdays, 4-5pm
Want to just check in with Rev. Nancy or Amanda during this stressful time? For this brief one-hour session, we'll simply open the online space, light a chalice, and check in during a group conversation. Deeper one-on-one personal pastoral visits can be scheduled with Rev. Nancy individually through her e-mail address, but this drop-in is an informal way to just say hi and chat as you are able. Drop in or out at any time, Wednesdays, 4-5pm!

From Rev. Amanda...Hello River Roaders!
As we are “flattening the curve” by creating some physical distance, we find ourselves with opportunities to build and create new ways of connecting. I am inviting each of you to help build our virtual community!

River Road's YouTube channel is just waiting for your content. Have a talent or skill? Perhaps a song you’d like to share, or a story you’d like to read. Wanna give a cooking lesson? Record and share on our channel!

How it works - s haring content has never been more accessible:
  • If you have a smart phone, tablet, or laptop with a camera, just press record.
  • Once you’re done recording, send it to my email: aweatherspoon@rruuc.org.
  • Once the video has been reviewed, I’ll post it to our YouTube Channel!
Some ideas for content include: baking tutorials, music lessons, performances of any sort, meditations, yoga sessions, arts & crafts, storytime, book reviews, funny stories/jokes, and so much more, the sky's the limit!

If you have any questions, please email me . I look forward to building this space with all of you!

Until we get on the other side of this, take care, be safe, and keep on keeping on.

Blessings and Love,  Rev. Amanda
