TRACK & FIELD: WEEK 3

COACHES UPDATES

Greetings MI Track & Field!

We wrapped up the third week of the season with some liquid sunshine! It wouldn't be spring track in the Northwest without a few soggy meets. Thursday was our first meet against Interlake. It provided a great opportunity for our new athletes to see how a track meet runs. It also gave the coaches ideas on what we need to work on to prep our kids for upcoming meets. Despite the rain, we saw some great early season marks. Check out all the photos!

A special thanks to the parents who came out to help support our first home meet. We have two more home meets.

Coming up this week:

Wednesday, 3/26: The Pasta Feed (pizza this week) is directly after practice up in the Commons. Is a wonderful opportunity for kids to connect and socialize off the track and get excited for meet day.

Thursday, 3/27: Away Meet vs Hazen @ Memorial Stadium @ 3:30!: This is the only meet of the season that begins at 3:30. Bring your full uniform including plain black shorts. Pack for any weather, layer up, and bring a large plastic bag to store your belongings if it rains. There will be two buses. One will leave at 2:00 and the second at 2:15. We will let the kids know which bus to ride depending on their events.

Saturday, 3/29: Issaquah Icebreaker Invitational. Each school is allowed 2 entries in each event. There will NOT be a bus for Saturday.

Thanks all for coming out for a great team photo!

Go MI!

VOLUNTEER CORNER

Volunteers needed this Wednesday, 3/26!

A highlight for athletes, pasta feeds are held the night before meets to fuel up for the next day's race and rally team spirit. We still need volunteers for this Wednesday to pick up pizza and help with serving and clean up for the "pasta" feed. Please sign up below!

Pasta Feed Sign up.

Volunteering at a home meet is an exciting way to get involved and make a big impact on our student athletes’ experience! As a volunteer, you’ll play a key role in making the event run smoothly—whether you’re helping athletes get ready for their events, recording times, measuring throws, or assisting in other important tasks.
