March 24 Greetings
Hugs to you on this fourth Wednesday of March, as we continue to “Be Church Together” even as the church building is closed for gatherings.

Today we get to know Ted and Sally! They did such a great job writing their biography that I've made a only a couple edits.
Sally and Ted are both natives of Wisconsin. They lived on opposite sides of Racine, Wisconsin, and attended different high schools. At the end of their junior year, they both attended a national Luther League conference in Detroit. At this conference they started to date and continued through high school and college (Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa). They married in 1969. Before starting a family, they enjoyed canoeing in the Boundary Waters, backpacking through Glacier (check out the website below!) and hiking in Estes.
Glacier National Park (U.S. National Park Service)

Come and experience Glacier's pristine forests, alpine meadows, rugged mountains, and spectacular lakes. With over 700 miles of trails, Glacier is a hiker's paradise for adventurous visitors seeking wilderness and solitude. Relive the days of old ...

Sally taught elementary school and Ted was employed by the Lutheran Good Samaritan Society. Job transfers were a part of the expectations of Good Samaritan. Consequently they lived in Metropolis, Illinois; Mt. Lake, Minnesota; Algona, Iowa; Prescott; Sioux Falls, SD; and then back to Prescott. Their three sons graduated from Prescott High and then Luther College in Iowa. While their sons were in college, Sally was busy making and selling quilts and providing day care to help pay for school!
Sally continues to be an avid quilter while also enjoying knitting and reading. She is a member of quilting groups and a book club. Ted enjoys hiking and table tennis. They both attend a Bible study. Ted is on Church Council and a few committees. Sally serves as a communion assistant and greeter. They have been fortunate to be able to do some traveling upon retirement (Baltic, Danube River, New England, Alaska, Costa Rica, and Utah’s national parks). They hope to continue that tradition later this year.
Their biggest enjoyment is to get together with their sons and their families including two grandsons.

Two Bible verses for today: the first is Sally's favorite, then Ted's

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11

And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8
Hugs!
