A Message from the Director of Campus Ministry:

Dear Carondelet Families,

This week, our community begins its observance of Holy Week. On our second of only two school days, we will mark this sacred time with our Holy Week Liturgy. During the pinnacle of Lent, this is a week when Christians remember and honor the death and resurrection of Jesus with traditions that date back to the time of the apostles. Easter is the highest and most central celebration in Christianity. In fact, this celebration was so important to the early Christians of the first century that they extended it to a three-day observance. Holy Week for Christians today begins now, with Palm Sunday, and will continue with a celebration of the Last Supper on Holy Thursday, commemoration of Jesus’ suffering and death on Good Friday, and conclude with the joyful celebration of Resurrection on Easter Sunday.

We will gather on Tuesday as a school community to observe this holy time together. Students will be invited to enter into a creative prayer service that honors the various parts of the Holy Week story. Spiritual Life Council has created an opportunity to remember the events of Jesus’ last days from a number of different perspectives and invite us to connect these events to our own lives here at school. Through the use of storytelling, modern music, photography, and various ritual actions, we will commemorate Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, his humble act of service when he washed the disciples' feet on Holy Thursday, the despair and loss of his death on Good Friday, and the hope and new life of Easter Sunday.

We hope that this liturgy will deepen our community’s understanding of the depth of Jesus’ love for each of us individually, as well as his radical love for all of humankind. May it inspire us all to move into the Holy Triduum with a desire to love like Jesus, to respond to hate, oppression, and violence with love—so that all may be one.

We wish all families an Easter Break filled with time for rest, renewal, and joy. May the New Life of Easter strengthen our call to Unifying Love with faith and hope.

Congratulations to CHS/DLS Choirs & Bands!

Chamber Choir + Combined Choir earned gold ratings and 1st place for both ensembles, and Band + Jazz Band earned silver ratings and 1st place for both ensembles. Band also won the Instrumental Sweepstakes Award, which is given to the top-scoring instrumental program!

They also swept the competition and took home the BIG award: the Festival Sweepstakes! This award honors the top overall music program (the highest recognition presented at the festival) and is given to the school with the highest combined scores across multiple ensembles. Directors Amy Way and Larry Colón took to the stage to receive the trophy while Mickey and Minnie danced, and confetti showered the stage!

We are so proud of the dedication, talent, and heart these students brought to the stage this weekend! Congratulations!

Updates from the Deans

Skirt Length Check-In

With the warmer weather, we’re seeing more skirts on campus. Please take a moment this weekend to ensure your daughter’s skirt aligns with our dress code. Skirts should fall below the fingertips (approximately 4 inches above the knee) and must be from Lands' End. Lululemon and other athleisure skirts are not permitted. As always, the primary responsibility for a student’s attire rests with the student and their parents/guardians. Multiple skirt length violations will result in the loss of skirt privileges. If your daughter needs a refresh, new skirts and skorts are available in our Lands' End store. We appreciate your support!

2026–27 Parking Permit Requests

Parking permit request links will be available starting Tuesday, April 14. The links will close on Friday, April 17. Due to limited space, we are unable to accommodate all student drivers.

Priority is given in the following order: 1) Seniors; 2) Juniors with carpools; and 3) Juniors driving individually.

Please carefully review the instructions on the parking page to ensure your student follows the correct process. Additionally, parking permit request links will only accept submissions from Carondelet student email accounts.

Parking on Campus

Please note and discuss with your student driver(s) that all campus parking spaces are reserved by a parking permit, and visitor parking is not for student usage.
