Entr’acte in Lent
Each Sunday in Lent we are encouraged in the liturgy to focus on particular theological themes. Our prayers, readings, and hymns work together to draw our attention in specific directions for deeper reflection as we prepare for Holy Week and Easter. The aim of Entr’acte throughout Lent will be to identify some of these major themes and to offer instruction on each one. This Sunday, Dr Jonathan Rutledge of Harvard University will join us to discuss “Reconciliation”.
Dr Rutledge has a PhD in philosophy from the University of Oklahoma and a PhD in theology from the University of St Andrews. His main areas of research these days revolve around questions of values and virtues or the relationship between forgiveness and explanations of why Christ had to die (also known as the atonement). He and his wife have 2.82 children—counting by the proportion of completed incubation time to the total expected incubation time for each child—and spend most of their free time reading children’s literature or frequenting Boston playgrounds.
The schedule for upcoming sessions is as follows:
March 5: Reconciliation – Dr Jonathan Rutledge
March 12: The Sanctification of all Human Nature – Fr Hanson
March 19: Care, Comfort, and Refreshment (Mothering Sunday) – Fr James
March 26: Life in the Resurrection – Fr Macdonald-Radcliff

Parish Family News
We give praise and thanks for the birth of Jane Revere Rasmussen. Jane was born February 25 and is the daughter of Daniel and Hilary Rasmussen. May God the Father, who by Baptism adopts us as His children, grant thee grace. May God the Son, who sanctified a home at Nazareth, fill thee with love. May God the Holy Ghost, who has made the Church one family, keep thee in peace. Amen.
