ECA Remote Learning
Eden Christian Academy has implemented Remote Learning while the school is closed.

  • Remote Learning for upper school students (grades 7-12) will continue March 30-April 3.

  • We are fully committed to our students and families as we all adjust and journey through this unprecedented situation. Please reach out to your building principal if your family is facing extenuating circumstances or having difficulties with technology. We are here to help!

  • School offices will be closed the week of March 30.

  • Please be sure to watch your email for further communications as the situation continues to evolve.
A Message from Mr. Aiken
Dear Parents and Students,

As we concluded week 2 of Remote Learning, I was reminded of the following scripture passage…

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” Lamentations 3:22-24

I encourage everyone to review this scripture daily as we continue to navigate these uncertain times.

Report cards for Quarter 3 will be sent later today, Monday, March 30 . As you review, if you have a question, please feel free to contact your teachers. If I can be of assistance, please email and I will communicate with the teachers.

Our focus is the development of the whole student, particularly focusing upon spiritual, intellectual, and physical .

During this time, a simple spiritual growth plan can consist of taking time daily for worship ; identify one of your favorite songs and listen/sing along with it. Spend time in prayer ; as the weather cooperates take a prayer walk. Finally, read and journal scripture . Proverbs is a great book for this and you can mirror the day of the month with the chapter you read. For example today is March 30, read Proverbs 30.

The landscape for intellectual development has certainly changed with remote learning and continuity of education plans that include synchronous teaching (example: Zoom classrooms) and asynchronous teaching with recorded lessons/flipped learning.

Throughout the remote learning time, please make certain that strong communication exists. The communication between student and teacher will drive the learning process. Please, if there is anyone having difficulty connecting, contact me and I will make certain that you are able to connect with the teacher.

Finally, physical activity is essential to foster growth . As mentioned earlier, please take a walk daily. Also, beginning soon we will be sending workouts led by Mr. Foltz that are 15-20 minutes in length. While these will help your physical development they will also assist in your intellectual and emotional support.

On behalf of the staff at Eden, we miss the daily interaction of person to person contact and look forward to the return to school.

Please know that we pray for each student and family daily that the Lord would provide health and safety.

God Bless,
Mr. Aiken
