Edible Book Festival
Saturday, April 1
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Choose your favorite book, turn it into a creative or funny edible piece
of art and bring it into the library on Saturday before the festival
starts so that you can have it set up for voting.
Attendees will view each edible creation in relation to its
title reference and vote for their favorite entry.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 contestants!
(Creations will not be eaten at the conclusion of the festival.)
This event is free and open to the public.

Shred It Day
Saturday, April 8
11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Clean out your file cabinets and shred your old documents
for free at the Shred It Day in the library parking lot.
This your opportunity to safely dispose of bank statements that
are no longer needed for tax returns or other financial records,
old cancelled checks, credit card statements or medical records
- anything you no longer want to keep.

This series of programs will include the following:
- April 3 -The CT Colony and Pequot War
- April 10 - New London's Early Years: 1646 -1775

- May 1 - Railroads and the Industrial Revolution
- May 8 - The Hurricane of 1938 to the Present

Supper Book Club
Assassination Vacation
Monday, April 10
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk one month before the meeting date and are due back the evening of the book discussion.
Food is ordered from a local restaurant, often reflecting a theme in the book, and is delivered to the library. Club members pay for their meal at the book club. Participants may also bring their own supper or snack.
Water, coffee and tea are provided by the library.
The facilitator for the evening provides dessert.
