Peabody School hosted our annual Grandparents and Special Friends Day on Friday, March 31st.  Over 100 guests joined us for a morning of learning, fun, and laughter. Families play such an integral role in the education of our students and we appreciate all that they do for our special community. We can't wait to see you again next year!

  • Spring Break 
    The Peabody office will be open during Spring Break, Monday, April 3rd through Friday, April 7th from 10:00am until 2:00pm. We will resume our normal schedule on Monday, April 10th. Enjoy the break! 

  • Sports Uniforms Return
    Over Spring Break, please wash all uniforms (girls and boys basketball; girls volleyball) and return to Coach Waki's office in the Batten Building the week of 4/10.  Thank you!

Spring Enrichment Registration

The Peabody Enrichment Program ( PEP) Spring session will begin on  Tuesday, April 11, featuring classes  Tuesdays,  Wednesdays, and  Thursdayfrom 3:15 -4:15. The last class of the session will be on  Thursday, May 18. More information, including the  registration form, can be found  here, but a brief summary of the offerings can be found below. Please note that we have a few  options for middle school students this session:

Quick Start Tennis, K -3

Outdoor Club, K -5
Archery, 5 -8

Basketball, 3 -8
Creativity Club, K -5

Registration is due on Thursday, April 6th. Please send forms to the front office. The front office will be open during spring break  from 9:00 am  to 3:00 pm. If you are unable to submit in person, simply email me to confirm registration and send payment in upon return from spring break.

This week in Middle School...

Ladies in the Lab 
Ladies in the Lab is an interactive showcase for women in STEM. Local tech companies and clubs at the University of Virginia come out and host booths for middle and high school girls to explore. This year's event will take place on  Sunday, April 23rd from  1-4pm in Darden Courtyard at UVA. More info here

Renaissance Open House and Ice Cream Social 
Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning to learn more, we’re excited to share our school with you.  Parents and students are welcome to join us to meet faculty and students on Friday, April 14th, from 8:30 am– 4:00 pm Learn about our academic program, college counseling, tuition assistance and more.  See flyer for details.

Kids College at CATEC

This summer, Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) in partnership with the Charlottesville Albemarle Technical Education Center (CATEC) will offer KidsCollege @ CATEC, including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) and Technical academies for rising 7th-10th graders.

Offered June 19-30 via week-long morning or afternoon sessions, these hands-on, project-based academies feature such topics as computer coding, engineering, culinary arts, firefighting, financial management, job preparedness, and more. KidsCollege will be held at CATEC, located at 1000 East Rio Road in Charlottesville. There is a $135 fee for each academy, and scholarships are available based on financial need. For more information on how to register, visit
